Challenge

Website on Magento 1
MC had a functioning website on Magento 1. An upgrade became a necessity when Magento became obsolete and began causing glitches in the webstore.

Not Mobile Responsive
The increased mobile traffic required a mobile-friendly website to target smartphone users as one of the MC’s most profitable segments.
Facing a Challenge?

What We Did?
As Magento 1 reached its end of life, Marine Chandlery began looking for a Magento competent development team to migrate them to Magento 2.
The previous version of the website contained numerous bugs and lacked a number of important security enhancements which could help prevent potential cache poisoning, remote code execution and many other vulnerabilities.
In addition, the website did not offer a clear layout with obvious navigation and call to actions on all the stages of the shopping journey which is essential for a good customer experience. The product overview, product detail pages and design of the shopping cart too did not conform to the client’s requirements.
They were also looking to increase sales in the publicly available e-store, hence they decided to refresh its digital user experience and visual design.
The influx of new customers was quite low and majority of sales were happening because of their loyal consumer base. So, the company decided to launch an online store to go beyond the limits of the neighborhood, expand their customer base and boost sales.

Development
For the project, the team developed an ecommerce solution powered by Magento to manage all the core ecommerce operations. The website design and navigation were made simple, yet elegant, to allow for easy browsing through different products and categories.
Once the platform’s frontend was developed, we completed its integration with other parts of the solution like SagePay and ShipperHQ.
After the upgrade, the quality analysis was performed to test the updated version and make sure that everything was working as it should.
Thus, the Magento website was upgraded with functional, performance and security fixes delivered with Magento 2.4.3 release. Moreover, now visitors did not notice any inconsistencies on the website which contributed greatly to building customer loyalty.
We changed the website design and layout according to current trends with mobile friendly creative for better user experience by setting up a new theme as per business requirement.
The MC team will now be able to allocate resources to exciting initiatives and improvements that were previously locked.

Outcome
Potential customers could now access the client’s website with much more ease. We rolled out a bug free, properly integrated website hosted on Magento 2. The response generated from the customers was good and the client was happy with the overall look and feel of the website.

We turn your goals into reality.
