Outdated Website Design
The online store was reeling, with obvious design flaws and crudely developed management. The front-end design was misaligned and old, hampering the sales and overall outlook of the website.
Optimize Website Performance
The website had a Mobile page speed of 16 and a desktop speed of 62 which is below industry standards and significantly contributes to a high bounce rate, low traffic, and eventually low engagement.
Facing a Challenge?
What We Did?
The client was looking to increase sales in the publicly available e-store, thus the need to refresh its digital user experience and visual design. They chose to migrate to Shopify, as it is fairly easy to maintain without the hassles of self-hosting.
One of the prime reasons why Shopify is fast becoming the preferred choice of new eCommerce stores is since Shopify is self-hosted, one doesn’t have to worry about page speed, and loading time.
Customer required a website with seamless migration of the platform without any business disruption, outage, or downtime. It was important to retain their SEO score too.
A critical part of the project was to ensure that the brand’s global reputation was upheld, its sophisticated brand personality preserved and amplified. One of the primary reasons for changing the theme was to change or update the look and feel of the store.
We began with an initial assessment of all the content on the existing website, sorting them into what to migrate and what to discard. Then we set up a Shopify store, backed up the Magento store, and performed a primary migration.
The earlier layout did not offer a clear layout with useful navigation and CTA on all the stages of the shopping journey. We made quite a few aesthetic alterations together with a great number of dynamic transitions and enhancements that further reduced the bounce rate.
End-user features and functionalities were replicated for Shopify with the use of custom-built and other third-party Shopify apps on the Shopify app store. Furthermore, in order to retain SEO while transitioning, we carried out activities in three phases- pre, during, and post-upgrade, creating backlinks, launching architectural audits, and keyword analysis.
The functionalities and extensions required were implemented. When we hosted the new website, we ran initial tests to understand the user experience and responsiveness of the platform.
After error correction, and checking the web store once again for any remaining bad elements, we unrolled the website for common use, after redirecting the traffic from the old site.
Joy Viva got an eye-catching and convenient e-commerce website representing the full range of its offerings. Their website now has smooth and seamless navigation from page to page considering their target audience. Everything is clearly labeled and linked properly and strategically placed to best achieve their main objective of mobile conversions.
The selected Shopify theme provided the client with an attractive storefront with color palettes that match their brand, and a clean and easy-to-understand user interface. With the use of scalable vector graphics, standardized clickable areas, and buttons, and the addition of CSS3 media queries, we ensured the website was mobile-first.
