Project Overview
The Australian Stuttering Research Centre (ASRC) sought to create iBroadway, an engaging, individualized online program modeled on its existing iGlebe platform. iBroadway was specifically tailored for adolescents dealing with social anxiety and stuttering. The portal would deliver interactive therapy content through modules, personalized features like superhero and clinician selection, gamified learning, and comprehensive progress tracking.
The project aimed to clone the iGlebe platform, modify it for the new target audience, and implement new features and designs that resonate with adolescents, all while ensuring clinical effectiveness and user engagement.

Project Objectives
- Clone iGlebe’s codebase and campaign structure for a faster and more cost-effective start.
- Tailor content, design, and UI for adolescent users.
- Build gamification elements including scoring and badging systems.
- Allow dynamic clinician and superhero selection during registration.
- Introduce drag-and-drop learning functionality for cognitive training modules.
- Integrate visuals, GIFs, and custom content based on the superhero selected.
- Ensure accessibility, engagement, and clinical compliance throughout the platform.
Project Execution
EbizON executed the iBroadway project through a structured, agile-based approach focused on clinical accuracy, user engagement, and technical performance. The execution was broken down into the following key phases:
1. Design & Discovery Phase
- Conducted stakeholder workshops to gather requirements from ASRC.
- Analyzed the existing iGlebe platform for reusable modules and features.
- Defined user personas (adolescents, clinicians, administrators) and tailored UX accordingly.
2. Development and Customization
- Cloned iGlebe environment and codebase as a baseline.
- Customized user flows for clinician and superhero selection during registration.
- Built superhero-based personalization (icons, GIFs, final comic book/video).
- Developed new drag-and-drop modules for cognitive exercises.
- Integrated custom point system and badging mechanism.
- Added PDF generation and print functionality.
- Conducted backend API development to support frontend logic and dynamic content.
3. Key Design Enhancements
- Age-appropriate icons and colorful UI elements.
- Dynamic superhero themes and motivational visuals across modules.
- Module progress bars and interactive feedback messages.
- Animation and celebration effects to enhance motivation and retention.
4. Functional Features
- Voice-assisted clinician previews and selection logic.
- Superhero-based dynamic content rendering.
- Badging system with defined point logic (login, module completion, behavioral experiments, etc.).
- Drag-and-drop assessment system with error/success feedback.
- Visual content summaries in the form of videos and comic books.
5. Performance Enhancements
- Optimized media delivery using lazy loading and CDN.
- Frontend code refactoring for faster load times and smooth transitions.
- Minified scripts and asynchronous calls to enhance UX performance.
- Tested animations and GIF rendering for responsiveness on low-end devices.
6. Quality Assurance & UAT
- Performed multi-stage QA: Unit, Integration, System, and Regression testing.
- Conducted cross-browser and cross-device testing.
- Functional Analysts and QA team used test cases mapped to every functional and design requirement.
- Stakeholder UAT (User Acceptance Testing) conducted with demo walk-throughs.
7. Staging, Deployment & Training
- Setup staging environment for internal and client review.
- Deployed to production environment after final approval.
- Provided admin-level documentation for content updates and maintenance.
- Trained ASRC team on superhero setup, clinician voiceover management, and content updates.
8. Post-launch Support Assurance & UAT
- Addressed feedback from early user rollouts.
- Provided 4 weeks of post-deployment support for bug fixes and optimizations.
- Monitored server health and user analytics to ensure performance and engagement KPIs.
Results
The iBroadway portal launched with high engagement and positive reception from both clinicians and adolescent users. Personalized visuals, gamified learning, and an intuitive experience helped increase program completion rates and session retention.
