Project Overview
Melania Clara is a contemporary jewelry brand offering elegant, everyday-wear pieces known for effortless luxury, intuitive magnetic closures, fast shipping, and a 2-year product warranty. Their existing Shopify store operates on the Broadcast Theme version 6.1.0, which lacks modern design elements, performance updates, and key Shopify 2.0 features.
To elevate the brand’s digital presence, the project aimed to upgrade the theme to Broadcast 8.0.0, improve the overall user experience, refresh critical pages with updated layouts, and ensure seamless compatibility with Shopify 2.0’s dynamic features.

Project Objectives
- Upgrade from Broadcast 6.1.0 → Broadcast 8.0.0 on Shopify 2.0
- Modernize the design while maintaining brand identity and guidelines
- Improve website speed, usability, and mobile responsiveness
- Rebuild essential templates using the new Shopify 2.0 JSON structure
- Strengthen site security and implement theme-level enhancements
- Ensure all apps remain compatible post-upgrade
- Improve SEO elements such as alt tags and optimized media

1. Design and Discovery Process
- Conducted a full audit of the existing website theme, custom code, and apps
- Reviewed Broadcast 8.0.0 capabilities and identified design differences
- Defined redesigned modules for:
- Home Page
- Collection Listing Pages
- Product Detail Page
- Mapped content structure for approx. 8–10 CMS pages
- Created wireframes ensuring alignment with Melania Clara’s brand aesthetics
2. Development and Customization
Frontend Implementation
- Rebuilt the theme using Shopify 2.0’s flexible JSON templates
- Implemented modern styling aligned with the new Broadcast theme design
- Created reusable sections ensuring consistency across pages
- Added SEO-optimized alt tags for all images
Feature Development
- Successfully completed the full WordPress → Shopify migration, including all products, collections, pages, and media.
- Implemented two separate Shopify stores:
- Retail Store – Primary consumer-facing storefront
- Wholesale Store – Login-protected catalogue with a customized layout and wholesale-specific functionality

- Recreated custom sections that were present in the old theme
